Job Title: Business Development Manager

About Us:

We are a growing, high street solicitors’ practice based in the United Kingdom, primarily focused on immigration, family, and property law. As part of our long-term expansion strategy, we are looking to appoint a Business Development Manager to help us grow our client base and improve operational efficiency through strategic planning, analysis, and client engagement initiatives.

This role is ideal for candidates with a strong academic or professional background in business statistics, finance, business communication, and commercial analysis. While prior experience in the legal sector is not essential, a willingness to learn and adapt to a legal environment is crucial.

Key Responsibilities:
  • • Identify new business opportunities and client segments within our areas of legal practice.
  • • Assist in planning and executing strategies to attract and retain individual clients
  • • Use data and financial insight to produce internal reports and proposals to support decision-making.
  • • Monitor trends, conduct market research, and provide competitor analysis to inform our marketing strategy.
  • • Help improve internal communications and administrative processes for better service delivery.
  • • Prepare clear and professional internal reports and business summaries to guide the firm's strategic growth.
Essential Qualifications and Experience:
  • • A degree (or equivalent) in Business, Finance, Economics, Business Statistics, or a related discipline.
  • • Strong understanding of data analysis, performance metrics, and reporting.
  • • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to prepare business documents and marketing materials.
  • • Familiarity with Microsoft Office tools (especially Excel and Word).
  • • Ability to manage multiple tasks independently, with attention to detail and efficiency.
Desirable Attributes:
  • • Previous experience in a small or medium-sized business environment.
  • • An understanding of UK immigration or legal services is a plus but not essential.

Job Title: Legal Assistant / Secretary to Senior Partner

We are a growing solicitors’ practice based in the UK, with a strong focus on immigration, family, and property law. As we continue to expand, we are seeking a highly organised and proactive Legal Assistant / Secretary to provide dedicated support to a Senior Partner of the firm.

This is a key role requiring discretion, excellent communication, and the ability to manage a busy and varied workload in a legal office environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • • Provide direct secretarial and administrative support to the Senior Partner.
  • • Draft and format legal correspondence, client letters, and documents.
  • • Manage the Senior Partner’s calendar, including appointments, meetings, and court dates.
  • • Organise and maintain legal files, records, and case bundles (both digital and hard copy).
  • • Liaise with clients, courts, and third parties professionally and efficiently.
  • • Assist with dictation, audio typing, and legal form preparation where required.
  • • Handle confidential information with a high degree of integrity and discretion.
  • • Perform general administrative duties such as scanning, filing, photocopying, and managing emails.
  • • Attend Home Office interviews to represent client
Essential Skills & Experience:
  • • A diploma, certificate, or qualification in law, business administration, or secretarial studies.
  • • Previous experience working as a legal assistant, legal secretary, or in a similar support role within a legal environment.
  • • Excellent written and verbal English skills.
  • • Strong organisational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritise under pressure.
  • • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel).
  • • Attention to detail and a high standard of accuracy.
Desirable Skills:
  • • Familiarity with UK legal procedures and terminology (particularly immigration, family, or property law).
  • • Experience using legal case management systems.
